Mississippi River

The product is named after the Mississippi river in the United States. While we think of the U.S. as a developed country, it has been slow to change, especially in the environmental sector. The Mississippi is known for its muddy water but more importantly a place called the "Dead Zone" that plagues the Gulf of Mexico. The zone measures about 6,800 square miles, roughly the size of Connecticut, and is attributed to the use synthetic agricultural fertilizers.
