    Many of you will know Navdanya as the 1% For The Planet non-profit we teamed up with. They are based in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand and where our scarves were made. Their mission is to empower communities of all backgrounds to sustain themselves through organic farming practices. They travel the country preserving indigenous seeds, educating mostly rural communities about organic farming practices, and setting up community seed banks, where anyone can go find local GMO-free seeds. Over the last two decades Navdanya has worked with more than 500,000 people across all of India and conserved more than 3,000 varieties of indigenous rice and created more than 122 seed banks in 18 states!

        Your scarf was woven by Mr. Ahmad. He and his seven siblings work together to make all the scarves at Soluna Collective. Mr. Ahmad is a fan of cinema and loves to joke with neighbors.

        This scarf combines the softness of merino wool with the comfort of Himalayan wool to make the perfect scarf for those brisk fall days or early morning commutes in the summer. Merino wool is known for not being itchy.
